Complete for a Weekend!

What a weekend!  Michael got home late Thursday and I told Braddock that I would send Daddy in to give him a hug whenever he got home, so at about 9:30pm Michael tip-toed into Braddock's room...he popped up in his bed, wrapped his arms around Michael's neck, laid his head on his shoulder, and just held on whispering, "Daddy.  Daddy home."  Every few minutes he would look up and run his hands over Michael's face and hair, almost as if to make sure he was real, and then laid his head back on his shoulder.  Precious.
We got up Friday morning and all went to Gymboree together!  It was the next level up and Braddock and Abram had a blast, especially since Daddy was there to share it with them!

After naps we headed down to the Boardwalk for some Orange Leaf FroYo :)  Braddock literally dug in to his daddy's brownie batter/oreo concoction and ended up with chocolate all over his chin, arm, and down his leg.  Poor Abram was a bit unhappy about not being able to enjoy the ice cream, but made due with his puffs and played with his toys in the stroller.  And of course no trip to the Boardwalk is complete without a walk through BassPro (complete with epic toddler melt-down...I had given him the choice to either stay close or hold on to the blue handle (our tagalong), and he chose option c-to run off.  After a warning that another run-away episode would equal stroller time, he decided to run off laughing this time saying, "are you running Braddock?!  are you running SO fast?".  So I ended up strapping a screaming 2 year old into a stroller in the middle of BassPro Saturday traffic with what felt like billions of onlookers wondering what had suddenly possessed that adorable child ;)  Bedtime was a blast, the boys LOVED having Daddy there to share in the bubble bath fun, and in the bedtime stories and songs....and I think Michael enjoyed it as much, if not more :)

.
Friday  night after the boys went to bed, Michael and I scooted out to dinner and to hit up the fair for a little bit.  It was the first time I had been probably since high school, and it was so fun riding all the 'old favorite' rides (we totally got smoked at bumper cars) and acting like kids again ourselves.

Saturday we laid low and played around the house,

and then Sunday came much too soon.  After naps I took the boys outside to try to distract them from the noticeable vacancy in our little family, so on an 80 degree November afternoon we filled up the water table and had some relaxed playtime.  Abram got to experience the water table for the first time!

...and Braddock was so sweet, kneeling down next to his little brother to show him how everything worked!

Even Nestle joined in on the water table fun....and the boys got so tickled that "Wessee is playing water table!"

Well written doll! You might have to start a column ;-) And for the record, WE did NOT get smoked in bumper cars! We owned those 8-12 year olds!! Miss you and love you bunches!
